I would have enjoyed the rain if not for the jerkiness in my recent life. School life, to be exact. Otherwise, everything and anything else is going super smoothly.

I have been doing a lot of editing for various assignments lately. Not that I do not like or am not willing to edit work - I don't really mind since I would get the opportunity to do less legwork - but when people are not giving you quality work, it gives you a huge and terrible headache just trying to improve their parts; and I have yet to mention editing and compiling others' together into one document as well.

It reminds me of a joke told by KX: I shall die one day due to repercussions for editing too much work. You might see me one day during a project presentation and being mourned for. It is funny, actually, if you don't account for the weariness of doing the brunt of the work.
AH~!

My on-air presentation assessment today for radio had not gone as well as I expected either. The MD machines had in fact fooled me big this time - they had not worked when they need to despite all the correct steps I had taken priorly. Mr Kwek - he's my lecturer for radio - had said that this was unfortunately "bad luck" for me. Yeah, real tough luck.

I guess the only positive side of the radio assessment today would be that I had scored well in other areas? If not for them, I would have scored a C or less. But then, if the MD machines had been compassionate enough towards me, I would gotten a straight A. Damn it (them).
Go to hell!

My group members and I received our radio magazine back today too. I suppose we did pretty okay. Got a B for it, though I initially thought we would have gotten a C by the stricter standards set by my previous radio lecturer. Mr Kwek is very lenient and kind, boy, am I glad. I really have to thank him for guiding and helping me so much in radio. ^^

The amount of work is also piling up, although I have managed to complete them one by one. Having trouble with time, that is the main problem. But in any case, by next week, the bulk of the assignments should be done and gone for submission.

By next week (week 8), I have to finalise / finish:

Communication Issues
  • Group Project: Literature review and methodology - done!
  • "Our America" movie analysis - shucks, I have not started on it yet. ><
News Writing
  • Field Assignment 1 - I have to get my arse moving for Arts On The Move~
Public Relations
  • Media Kit - Just a bit more to completion. Phew.
Web Design Applications
  • Online portfolio / Journey-themed website - I have to invest some more hours to wrap my website up and perfect it. My sleeeeeeep...!
Events Management
  • Couples' event - I have to get the proposal done and get in more sponsors. *sighs*
Boo hoo...

And no, these things that are ongoing in lightning speed now shall not and will not take me down. 'Cause I know that after I wind up my complaints here, I will get back to work and kill more assignments. As for the assessments, I promise myself that I would never make anymore mistakes and pay more attention to technical details. I still want my As and Bs for this semester; I had seen them less last semester and do not intend not to welcome them back on my records again.
Ah argh!

A short break from everything is the only request I have at the end of next week.

Wind up~~~
