Saturday, December 13, 2008 ❤ 10:24 PM Yes, the big boy's birthday has arrived! No doubt, lotsa food dominate this grand occasion of his: The day before the big day of his - 11/12 After some project work in school, all of us - Kenneth, Apple, Jesley, Chelmin, B-boy Derrick, Mary, Jeremy, Fiona, Justin and Honglin - went for a buffet at Sakae Sushi! ^ Everyone ate quite a lot - too much to the extent we decided to pay with the excess food; please continue to read for more of the joke. XD Here's the final joke of the year 2008; the story of the faithful octopus ballerina and his/her rice ball pals. ^ The octopus ballerina was originally supposed to be consumed like his/her fellow octopuses at Sakae Sushi - talk about a simple life of a cooked octopus. That day, I got bored and started him/her in a dance of sauces. ^ Finally, I reunited her with Jeremy and Honglin's rice balls (pardon the pun; it wasn't meant to sound that way XD), and off they went for a ride on the conveyor belt. After a round of happy riding (apparently none of the staff or the customers took this odd and newly invented dish off the belt), Jeremy and Honglin retrieved the dish and dumped the contents in the soy sauce bottles - yes, they were fully filled up to the brim. Oh, imagine the reactions of the next few customers supposed this act was not discovered by the staff! XD Apple and Jesley finally arrived then with Derrick's surprise birthday Oreo cheesecake. Oh, the B-boy appeared so happy! :D ^ It brings me to a question: Will he ever behave himself? I wonder. ^ B-boy cutting and gobbling up his cake in enthusiasm and after some cream-smearing on people. ^ Oh, Kenneth, don't be shy. Be as bold as Mary. XD (see below) ^ Mary the model of cake. XD ^ The battle between... ...? I have no idea. ^ See the oddity? There was an extra sushi on the dish! *lol* Another joke for the day. We ended the day with lan-gaming at Paradiz Centre. I fell asleep halfway though; I am not really that interested in lan-gaming. And here goes to the grand birthday of Derrick! :D His 18th birthday! - 12/12 After some project work in school (the never-ending stream of projects - *sighs*), we decided to head for town - Kenneth, Apple, Mary, B-boy Derrick plus me - to watch one of the products of the Twilight phenomenon; the movie, Twilight, starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Kenneth had to go for a family dinner, so the remaining four of us (who met up again at Cineleisure after some detouring here and there) enjoyed a buffet of sorts at the local food court. ^ The feast of sashimi, pork ribs (no, chicken ribs weren't that humongous), sausages, chocolate and ice cream. Yum yum. ^ My favourite type of sashimi, salmon belly, accompanied with assorted premium slices of tuna, swordfish, octopus etc. On the right is a portion of high-protein uni that costed a bomb. ^ Too bad Kenneth was not there; he missed a tub of Haagen Dazs which ended up in Mary's bottomless tummy of all the delicious sashimi and a large bowl of prawn soup noodles. ^ The B-boy was enjoying the feast he spent an atomic bomb on. :) We watched the midnight show - and unsurprisingly, the theatre was fully packed with fans though it was only the preview (the scheduled date for the official release of the movie in Singapore was on 18 December). And yes, I love the movie! <3 ^ The movie was filled with interesting dialogue and exciting action, as well as beautiful actors and actresses who beautified the characters of the story. A growth in the development in the characters throughout the movie was also evident. This movie is recommended to those who desires to read the novel series as a sypnosis of the first book. ^ I am now officially the fans of Robert Pattinson (the lead who portrayed Edward Cullen), Ashely Greene (Alice Cullen) and Cam Gigandet (James). They are so hot, utterly graceful and astonishingly beautiful! OMG~! I wanna watch Twilight again. (As a side event which happened after Apple, Derrick and I left for home on NR6) Meanwhile - well, we were travelling on the nightrider at that point of time; seemed like an appropriate term to use here - Kenneth and Mary waited patiently for their respective buses to arrive. Kenneth was reading while Mary was on her MP3 as time trickles by them, and soon an hour had passed since we arrived and left the bus stop. Out of curiosity, Kenneth and Mary decided to check out the bus arrival timings. To their surprise, the last buses they were supposed to be on were gone long ago, specifically during when we were watching Twilight in the theatres. Thus, out of choices, Mary had to borrow some money from Kenneth before both could hop on cabs to go home. Moral of the story / side event: Always, yes, always, check out the scheduled arrival timings of buses you are gonna take. Although they may be inaccurate at times, these buses don't come as late as one or two hours, yeah? And meanwhile (yet again), Derrick misplaced his wallet on the bus. Talk about a bad end for his 18th birthday. :( As for my present to him, it shall still remain a secret. XD - - RZ, B-boy's girl - - |
